Downtown Civil Litigation Law Firm seeks a temporary Legal Secretary, ASAP, 14 hours per week. This will be an open-ended position, and will be re-assess ongoing need in 90 days. The duties will be all pre-litigation work and will include:  

-           Answering phones (basic 3 line system – no voice mail – messages taken most of the time);

-           Setting up new case files (physical files and electronic files);

-           Requesting and tracking medical records and bills (online and written requests) and also requesting narrative medical reports as needed (we have form letters for most everything);

-           Obtaining and tracking medical subrogation lien information from Medicaid, Medicare, Rawlings, Optum, etc.;

-           Vacation coverage (opportunity for more hours during that time).
